Who Is Harlem Eubank?

Harlem Eubank (born 23 February 1993) is an English professional boxer in the welterweight division currently competing in the orthodox style, with a height of 5′ 8” (1.73 m) and a reach of 68 inches (173 cm). Eubank has been trained by world-famous Adam Booth since he turned professional.

More recently, from 2023, he has also been trained and managed by his uncle, former multi-world champion, Chris Eubank Sr – a relationship which continues to gain significant media coverage for the 27-year-old. Harlem Eubank’s Father, Simon Eubank, is the brother of former WBO middle and super-middleweight world title holder, ‘Jinx’ Chris Eubank.

Making the former King of the Boxers’ boxer a nephew of a UK sporting icon and cousin of current WBC interim bridgeweight world champ Chris Eubank Jr. It isn’t the first combat discipline Harlem was proficient at, however. “I was a karate world champion when I was younger, played in the Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club academy and competed in kickboxing.”

Harlem Eubank’s Path to Professional Boxing

Harlem Eubank boxed an impressive 33 bouts as an amateur, winning 22, with multiple accolades to his name. This included numerous wins at the highly-regarded Haringey Box Cup, one of Britain’s major amateur tournaments. Harlem Eubank turned over and was handed his professional debut in May 2017 when he stepped into the ring against Anto Nakic to secure a TKO win.

Since his professional debut, Harlem Eubank has gone about building his own profile at welterweight level. He operates out of a gym environment which would make him more than familiar, and against more seasoned rivals, Eubank has never sought to overplay his family links within the sport. Instead, Harlem Eubank tends to say that he has his own journey to tread in world-class boxing.

Harlem Eubank’s Boxing Record and Career Highlights

Following the early stages of his career in which he was able to compile an impressive win streak, Harlem Eubank remained undefeated for a long spell. Harlem Eubank’s record is now 22-2, with 9 inside the distance, giving Harlem Eubank roughly 40 percent. The British native has never been stopped within the round, given that it is to say outside the boundaries set by judges or as opposed to Harlem Eubank himself.

To continue in the vein of his career so far, some great wins are Tyrone McKenna, whom he defeated in a 9th-round TKO during March of ’25, a victory over Nurali Erdogan by UD in November ’24, and in November ’23, he had Timo Schwarzkopf get his head split open due to a stoppage of TKO. A large array of those wins led Harlem Eubank to the forefront and kept Harlem Eubank in place for quite some time, having no losses under his name.

That changed, unfortunately. Harlem Eubank met Jack Catterall in a greatly anticipated affair between the pair. The fight ultimately ended via a technical decision loss for Harlem Eubank due to an inadvertent collision between the two fighters’ heads, during which judges were all leaning in favour of Catterall prior to the clash causing Harlem Eubank the first loss to their professional career. Though Harlem Eubank arguably felt he had enough for a win, that wasn’t going to be how it played out.

Eubank responded well with quality fights, leading him to challenge the previously vacant IBF International welterweight title against David Papot at the top end at the Copperbox Arena in July ’26, which would be for 12 rounds of fighting in which he lost via UD’s result. To cap things off, Harlem Eubank remains in contention for a welterweight place with his resume of boxing at a high level.

Harlem Eubank’s Fighting Style and Lifestyle

Where Eubank also differentiates himself, Harlem Eubank lives a relatively disciplined lifestyle. Harlem Eubank is close to living a vegan lifestyle, which he says he uses to aid his recovery as well as his energy and lifespan in a very physical sport. Couple this discipline to his karate and kickboxing history, and we have an Eubank who moves well, is technically sound, and who throws combinations.

Beyond a talented fighter, Eubank has also built up a media persona to draw in viewers that have had nothing to do with the Eubank family. Harlem Eubank has expressed himself regarding wanting to do at least one professional match at home and then fight in the United States of America to introduce the American fans to the brand of fighting that Eubank has to offer.

What’s Next for Harlem Eubank?

After losing out to David Papot, the welterweight future of Harlem Eubank has to remain unclear. The British boxer is currently being linked with fights against potential future opponents such as Arnold Barboza Jr., Conor Benn, Dalton Smith and Adam Azim. A rematch against Jack Catterall could also happen again after their first fight, in light of its circumstances. There are no definitive plans yet regarding Harlem Eubank’s next fight; however, another tough test is surely in the pipeline given his recent performances and position.

If Harlem Eubank is fighting, typically UK fans will be able to watch him on DAZN UK, whereas viewers in the USA will also be able to stream his bouts on DAZN. Everyone’s attention will now turn to Harlem Eubank and whether he can recover to earn himself a title shot in the future, as is the belief of many since his amateur career.

Conclusion

From karate and an imposing family name to a pro contender, the move to the pro ranks and a life under the lights came as a logical progression of training discipline cultivated since karate, but as part of a boxing family name. As a 22-2 pro (10 wins inside the distance), Harlem Eubank has a decent-looking resume and has defeated credible names. If you ask him, though, he believes there is much more to come, and as he said to boxing NEWS (which can be found in these pages as you read this), ‘Whatever it is, I’m going to make sure I prove myself. Whatever happens next, Harlem Eubank has more years left at the elite and in boxing, so where he heads next will make a big name for himself in the sport in the years to come.’
